Half a year of crazzzzziness

Judah is now 6 months old. Which is crazy business, if you ask me.

He his the 6 month mark on the 21st which was the same day we headed south for the holidays.

6 months is a pretty cute age.

He has started to really get into playing with toys. He loves to sit. Pretty much every toy goes into his mouth. And quite a few things that are not toys. He is also into pulling my hair and taking off my glasses (and shoving them into his mouth).

He is not crawling, but he does 'tread water,' which is what we call it when he lays on his belly and kicks his feat and flaps his arms. Definitely some pre crawling movements, but he still has quite a ways to go (I think). After all, he has a lot of girth to support; he needs to build up those muscles.

Judah has started eating food, but it is happening pretty sporadically. Sometimes he feels like trying things and other times he could care less.

Still no teeth, but I swear they are going to show up any day. You can see which teeth are going to make their appearance first, there is a like a ridge/bump thing in two spots for his lower teeth.

His hair has really gotten a lot thicker this last month. He still has a bit of a bald spot in the back of his head from where his head rest on his mattress. His hair in back is starting to get a bit coarser, but the top and front is still baby soft. Not sure when the curls are going to show up. I think, just maybe, I am seeing a wee bit of wave near his ears. He still has cradle cap, but thankfully his hair is thick enough that you can't see it (unless you are specifically looking for it... Or if he doesn't have a bath for a few days).

He goes to the doctor tomorrow for his 6 month check up and shots. My guess is that he weighs about 24 lbs or so. He is wearing mostly 12 month clothes at this point.

Hard to believe he is now closer to a year than a newborn. Wacky.
